 Sweetie boy Dazzle - the signal dog!
 
Dazzle was brought to us by Lori, who is his trainer and "foster mom", from Central Point, Oregon on September 8, 2001. He was specially trained as a hearing dog / service dog for the deaf and hearing impaired by Lori and the wonderful staff of Dogs for the Deaf.

We have since trained him to do even more feats to help us out, to our delight! The movies will tell you some of the stories. He is the pride and joy of Stephanie and Jack Walsh!

"I'm not a "jewelry" type of guy. What are my parents gonna think of next?"

(Shown wearing a black stretchy tiara with orange dog bone charms. Believe it or not, we didn't come up with this. We were at a jewelry show and someone was selling these tiaras for little girls dress-up fun and a <ahem> "brilliant" idea was born!)

Christmas 2007 - Our hearing dog, Dazzle, takes time off to rescue a teddy bear.
January 2007:

Dazzle uses the doggy steps to easily get up on a high place (such as a bed or the couch) after learning to use them in less than one minute! He still chooses to use his trademark "flying leap" to get back down. We've noticed that this is because the steps would have to be placed further away from the bed in order for him to leap down onto them.

Dazzle alerts us to the timer, which is an oven timer that can be placed anywhere and used to alert us after a specific time has passed. This is especially good if we have an appointment or are expecting visitors.

Dazzle alerts us to objects we drop such as keys, letters and anything else that may get dropped without our being aware of it.

February, 2004 - unsure of the date:
Dazzle is shocked to see a snowstorm in South Carolina! Where are those dog toys? Buried in the snow, of course!
